Congratulations to our very own Ms. Armijo-Ortiz for receiving a distinguished award from the New Mexico School Boards Association for her excellence in leadership of our EJ community! We appreciate you so much!
Ms. Armijo is commited to ensuring each student has their academic and emotional needs met by focusing on each child as an individual. Under her leadership, we have seen EJ students reach academic goals like never before. She, along with Mrs. Lange, created our amazing Literacy Library where each student is able to "shop" for books that are the student's right fit. This allows them to obtain new reading level goals frequently.
Ms. Armijo has created an environment at EJ where staff can excel in their fields, which in turn allows for greater student achievement. Her number one objective -our students' wellbeing- is what has made EJ so special, and a place to thrive as a whole being.
